Mus, the emblematic card game of the Basque Country

Born more than two centuries ago in the Basque Country, Mus is played by four, in two teams of partners sitting opposite each other, with the 40-card Spanish deck. Bluffing, discreet signs between partners and calls in Basque — Imido! Iduki! Hordago! — make it far more than a card game: an art of the table, handed down through the generations in the etxeak and village bars.

This free solo version sits you at the table facing three computer-driven players: your partner signs to you, the opponents bluff, they raise... and they will not hesitate to call Hordago! and stake the whole game on a single hand.

  • The four traditional rounds: Haundia, Tipia, Pariak, Jokua
  • Three customisable opponents: name and temperament (cautious to aggressive)
  • Calls in Basque, scoring in amarekos, first team to 40 points wins
  • Your statistics kept: games played, won and lost
  • Three card styles to choose from, plus sound
